Motion presented by Councillor Guarino-Sawaya: That the Mayor request the appropriate City departments to immediately coordinate with DCR regarding the Revere Beach Boulevard milling and paving project scheduled from September 27 through October 23, 2026, and provide the City Council with a written traffic and neighborhood-impact plan. The plan should identify all detour routes, anticipated impacts on Revere Street, North Shore Road and surrounding Ward 5 neighborhoods; overnight equipment-staging locations; noise and lighting controls; parking restrictions; emergency-access arrangements; and the method and timing of notifications to residents and businesses. DCR shall also be requested to provide a designated project contact and telephone number for questions or complaints and to post that information clearly at the work site throughout the project.
