Motion presented by Councillor Guarino-Sawaya: That the Mayor request Planning and Community Development Department, in coordination with the Department of Public Works and Engineering to identify and submit up to two Ward 5 coastal resilience project concepts during the FY2028 Environment & Climate One Stop Expression of Interest period, which closes October 16, 2026. The City should consider flood access and evacuation in Point of Pines; drainage in Oak Island and Riverside; shoreline protection near Gibson Park; and flooding along the Revere Beach Boulevard-North Shore Road corridor. The departments should report to the City Council which concepts they select, the feedback received from the state, and their plan for the formal grant application.
